Rivera aims at a delicately-balanced blend of the characteristics of the primitivo variety grown in two representative but different terroirs. 60% of the blend comes in fact from Manduria, where the variety shows the fullest body and character, and 40% is sourced from Gioia del Colle DOC area, where the cooler climate and the rocky soils lend wine of greater elegance. The name Triusco means “earthy and rich red wine” in the local dialect and perfectly reflects the characteristics of this wine. VARIETIES: 60% primitivo di Manduria and 40% primitivo di Gioia del Colle. WINE MAKING: The harvest period varies from the last week in August (Manduria) to mid-September (Gioiadel Colle). The two wines are fermented separately in steel then macerated about 10 days, with frequent pump-overs. AGEING: 8-9 months in glass-lined concrete vats to maintain the fruit andvarietal character intact. After blending of the wines, a few more months in the same vats leads to perfect integration and further 6 months of bottle ageing deliver a complex but vibrant Primitivo. RODUCTION AREA: Primitivo di Manduria DOC and Primitivo di Gioia del Colle DOC zones. VINEYARDS: Old head-trained vineyards planted on calcareous clay soils at altitudes of 40-50 mt (Manduria) and on rocky hills at 300-350 mt. (Gioia del Colle). Average yield is 50-60 quintals per hectare. TASTING NOTES: Very deep violet colour; intense bouquet of blackberry and raspberry with spicy hints of toasted almonds; full, warm, and smooth on the palate, with nuances ofdried plums, chocolate, and jam. RECOMMENDED WITH: Very full-flavoured dishes, such as game, roasts, and aged cheeses, which will match Triusco’s distinctive complexity. Serve at cool room temperature. CELLARING: If perfectly stored,Triusco can age 5-6 years.

Moscato di Traniis a classic Apulia dessert wine that is produced in the region that stretches between the Murgia hills and the Adriatic sea in the central part of Apulia. The best production area is however the town of Trani on the sea where this grape variety expressesb its characteristics at their best on the white tufaceous soils of the district. Some short tree trained vines are raised on disused tufa quarries, known as “Tufare”. WINE MAKING: The grapes are picked in the 3rd week of September. After a very light pressing, the must ferments at 18°C for about 15 days in stainless steel. AGEING: Matured for 3-4 months in new French oak barriques and 6 months in glass-lined cements vats. RODUCTION AREA: In the area around the sea-side town of Trani, in the Moscato di Trani DOC zone. VINEYARDS: Planted on deep tufaceoussoils and trained to the spurred cordon system. Grape yield is kept as low as 50-60 quintals per hectare. TASTING NOTES: Deep, shimmering yellow colour; bouquet redolent of apricot, pineapple, and candied orange peel; rich, multi-layered palate, sweet yet with a dry finish. Taking advantage of the most modern winemaking practices, Rivera has succeeded in crafting a distinctive rosé that reflects the unique characteristics of the Bombino Nero grape, a variety that is so peculiar to the Castel del Monte area and so suitable to rosé wine production to have deserved, the only one in Italy, the D.O.C.G. status.. Our Pungirosa is a crisp, refreshing rosé bursting with flavor, with a forward, vivacious fruitiness that makes it a great companion to most dishes. Enjoy it also as a wonderfully appealing aperitif. WINE MAKING: Harvest time is the first week of October. The skins are kept in contact with the juice for 22-24 hours at 5-6 °C in stainless steel vats in order to extract only the most delicate aromas. The must is drained off without pressing and continues fermenting at 18-20°C for 12-14 days. AGEING: The wine is ready for release after a few months of ageing first in stainless steel vats and then in the bottle. VARIETAL BOMBINO NERO: A red grape variety grown exclusively in this area. It is not suitable for producing a full red wine because of its thin skin, the uneven ripening of itsbunches, and the grape’s high juice content. It produces lovely rosé wines, however, very fresh and fruity. This unique grape allows the winemaker to vinify the natural free-run juice, without any pressing. PRODUCTION AREA: Mugiahills in the northern part of Castel del Monte D.O.C.G. area. VINEYARDS: 25-30 years old head trained vineyard planted on the rocky Murgia hills at an altitude of 320 metres. Yield is 100-110 quintals per hectare. TASTING NOTES: Purple-flecked onion skin colour; delicate bouquet with notes of rose, cherryand sage; crisp yet smooth palate, well balanced, with a subtle vein of acidity; lengthy, juicy finish. RECOMMENDED WITH: An ideal aperitif, perfectly complements seafood appetizers and pastas as well as fish and poultry. Serve at 10-12 °C.
