We have named this wine in honour of Dominic Sunde, who with his brother Philip established our first family vineyard in Oratia in the early 1900s. This blend of Cabernet franc, Merlot, Syrah and Pett Verdot is rich and very dark in colour. The nose is a mix of ripe dark fruits, savoury and spicy characters. The palate is soft on entry, opeing to firm tannins and finishing with excellent length.

Methode Traditionelle Blanc de Blanc is made the traditional 'Champagne' style, but can not be called 'Champagne' as the wine is not from that paticular area in France. The long process of making a Methode starts with the first firmentation in the tank or barrel after which the wine is bottled and a second firmentation activated inside the bottle by adding more yeast and sugar. The bottles are placed in riddling racks where the bottles are turned each day, this process takes approximately 18 months in which the fantastic flavors and fine delicate bubbles of a true Methode is born. We've used Chardonnay grapes to make this Methode which is very traditional, Blanc de Blanc means 'White of white' in which only white grapes are used to make this wine. This Blanc de Blanc carries delicate green apple, slight butter with mineral tones, it's fine finesse sparkle leaves a slight zesty finish which is both refreshing and satisfying.

It is medium-dry to taste - a fulsome, up front and pure-fruited Pinot Gris with harmony and power. The 2013 vintage will long be remembered as one of the greatest Gisborne Chardonnay vintages. Handcrafted by winemaker Steve Voysey, this wine has white flower aromas and well integrated peach, grilled citrus, vanilla, nutty oak, and buttery characteristics. The grapes were gently pressed, then slowly matured in French Oak barrels, to produce a rich and creamy Chardonnay. On the palate is a complex and layered flavour, starting with elegant and fresh nectarine stone fruits and following with pleasant mid-palate creaminess, lengthening to a citric grapefruit finish. This wine will continue to develop favourably through 2015 and 2016 and will integrate over this time and gain in richness and complexity through to 2020.

Carefully handcrafted by winemaker Steve Voysey, this Late Harvest Pinot Gris is a medium-sweet wine that comes from the aptly named ‘Candy Block’ vineyard. The style is rare and exquisite, traditionally known as Vendange Tardive and only made in years from outstanding with exceptional grapes. The palate is decadent and pure, with a dense bouquet of ripe, yellow stone fruits and floral lift. Serve as an aperitif, or with fruit or baked desserts and cellar for five years or more.
