Grown on the sloping sites of the middle Nahe region in weathered volcanic soil and loess loam. Age of vines ca. 30 years. Yields ca. 35 hl/ha. 100% selective hand harvest. Fermentation and ca. 6 months maturing in a traditional large barrel made of German oak, the Doppelstück, which means “double barrel” and holds 2,400 litres. A cuvée of Pinot Blanc & Pinot Gris. In a large oak barrel, the full-bodied Pinots mature into wonderfully harmonious, robust and elegant wine, without exaggerated wood notes dominating their natural aroma.
