The grapes are late harvested around last week of May. It is 100% Malbec and has been aged in second use French oak barrels for 12 months and at least 8 in the bottle. Winemaking Process: pre-maceration is carried out and then fermentation with selected yeasts and in French oak cask of 8000 liters for approximately 30 days. During fermentation, grape alcohol is added to interrupt it and preserve its natural sugar (80 grams approximately per liter). Then the wine goes to a second and long maceration for about 4 months. Potential Aging: 5-6 years.
Tasting Notes
It has purple opaque, almost black color; with great intensity and bright notes. Intense aromas of blackberries, blackcurrant, chocolate and coffee are perceived in the nose. In the mouth, notes of ripe plums, jam and chocolate can be perceived. It is moderately sweet, followed by a round palate with soft and velvety tannins and a long finish. It has high concentrated aromas with a fine texture, thanks to the natural sugar and acidity balance.
