Our Pinot Noir Max Reserva 2013 is of shiny ruby-red colour with violet hues and shows on the nose a floral profile that reminds of rosehips as well as aromas of red fruits that show some balsamic notes such as rosemary, and a soft touch of damp earth and mushrooms. Medium bodied, it echoes on its nose on the palate, adding in the aftertaste some soft and complex notes of dried fruits and toasted bread. It is a wine of good structure, with fine tannins, gentle and easy to drink.

Grapes were hand picked during the early hours of the morning, whole-cluster pressed and cold decanted in stainless steel tanks. The use of native yeasts along with the larger number of strains of yeasts during a wild fermentation contributes greater complexity to the wine. Fermentation took place at 18º–22ºC, and approximately 45% of the final blend underwent malolactic fermentation. The wine remained on its fine lees in french oak barrels for ten months. Lively aromas of lemon zest and lime blossom are underscored with hints of crisp pear and white flowers. The palate confirms the nose and is heightened by a driving minerality and vibrant acidity that carries through on the lingering finish.

This vertical wine feels dry and edgy on the palate, with light mineral notes and a great acidity that gives it nerve and freshness.

A beautiful pale yellow in colour, this wine’s moderate aromatic intensity offers tremendous elegance and complexity. Nutty and dried fruit aromas typical of Roussanne and Marsanne are accompanied by sweet floral notes of acacia and honeysuckle. The long, linear, and mineral palate has a phenolic load that lends structure and a slight bitterness that reflects the Viognier in the blend. Mandarin orange and other citrus flavours appear on the long and pleasing finish.
